Arachis Oil

Arachis oil is also known as Peanut Oil or groundnut oil, a sweet and flavorful edible oil. Arachis is a slow-growing annual plant, scientifically known as Arachis hypogaea, and belongs to the Fabaceae family. It originated in South America and is commonly cultivated in India, China and the United States. Arachis tree is an annual herbaceous plant, well grown in sandy loam soil, best in sunlight and grows 30 to 50cm. Arachis oil is mild in flavor and used for cooking oil in a variety of Southeast Asian, African and South American dishes due to its high smoke point. This all-purpose oil is known for its distinctive aroma, mild flavor and taste of its parent legume.

Extraction-

Arachis Oil is extracted from the kernels of peanuts by the cold pressing method.
Composition-

Its major components are oleic acid, linoleic acid, & Palmitic acid and other components are stearic acid, arachidic acid, behenic acid and lignocerol acid.

Properties-

Arachis oil is a sweet and flavorful peanut oil with a deep yellow color and a pleasant nutty aroma. Due to its high monounsaturated content, it is considered healthier than saturated oils and is resistant to rancidity. It's an excellent moisturizer, antioxidant, and very nutritious.

Blending-

Arachis oil is nicely blends with other essential oils, as it gets absorbed into the skin and is a good carrier oil for other essential oils.

  • Avoid using while pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • After eye contact, rinse opened eyes for several minutes under running water.
